Digital Marketing for Pharmacies

Modern pharmacies offer far more than dispensing, from vaccinations to health checks and consultations. We help pharmacies communicate that full range of services clearly and locally, within TGA and AHPRA advertising rules.

Brisbane-based, working with pharmacies across Australia.

Why pharmacy marketing needs a different approach

Many people still think of pharmacies primarily as a place to collect prescriptions, and are unaware of the broader clinical services many now offer. At the same time, pharmacy marketing sits close to therapeutic goods advertising rules, which need careful handling. Telling people what you offer, clearly and within those rules, is what makes the difference.

How we help pharmacies grow

Six services that work together, so people can find your pharmacy, understand what you offer and book.

Local SEO and Google Business Profile

Show up when people search for a pharmacy nearby. We manage your Google Business Profile and local listings so your opening hours, services and location details stay accurate.

Pharmacy Website Design

Clear service pages, opening hours and location information, and simple pathways to book services such as vaccinations where offered.

Service Promotion and Local Content

Content that promotes services beyond dispensing, such as vaccination and health check services, together with community-focused local content.

Google Ads for Pharmacies

Campaigns that put your professional services in front of people searching nearby, with ad copy written to meet Pharmacy Board, TGA and Google healthcare advertising requirements.

Tracking and Reporting

Understand which services and local content drive the most in-store visits and bookings.

Project Management for New Services and Rebrands

Supporting the rollout of new clinical services or a refreshed brand across multiple pharmacy locations.

Marketing for every kind of pharmacy

An independent community pharmacy and a multi-site group need different things from their marketing. Here’s where we can help.

Independent community pharmacies

Be the pharmacy your local community knows, trusts and can easily find.

Multi-site pharmacy groups

Keep branding, Google listings and service information consistent across every pharmacy.

Pharmacies growing their clinical services

Explain new services clearly, so people know what you offer and how to book.

New and refreshed pharmacies

Build local awareness for a new pharmacy, a new location or a rebrand.

Marketing that follows pharmacy advertising rules

Pharmacy advertising sits under more than one set of rules: the Pharmacy Board of Australia and AHPRA for health services, the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) for medicines, and the Australian Consumer Law for all advertising. The pharmacy is responsible for what it advertises, including content written on its behalf. So we write and review every website page, ad and social post with all three in mind.

No testimonials about clinical care, on your website or your social pages No guarantees, exaggerated claims or fear-based messaging Treatment claims supported by evidence Titles and qualifications shown exactly as registered Offers and discounts always include their terms and conditions Images and wording that don't imply a promised result

Anything involving medicines or clinical information is reviewed by your pharmacy before it goes live.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. We promote the service itself: that it’s available, who delivers it, what’s involved and how to book. We keep the focus on the service rather than on any particular vaccine or medicine, because prescription medicines and vaccines can’t be advertised to the public. We don’t use testimonials, scare tactics or claims about outcomes.

Yes. Prescription medicines, including vaccines, can’t be advertised to the public. Non-prescription medicines can be advertised only in line with the TGA’s Therapeutic Goods Advertising Code, including required warnings, and pharmacist-only medicines have extra conditions. Price and discount advertising for medicines is also tightly restricted. We write medicine-related content with these rules in mind and recommend your pharmacy confirms it against current TGA guidance before it’s published.

Yes. For a single pharmacy, we focus on local visibility, a clear website and the services your community uses most. For multi-site groups, we keep branding, Google Business Profiles and service information consistent across every location, with reporting for each pharmacy and for the group.

By focusing on what a larger chain can’t easily copy: your pharmacists, your local knowledge and the services your community values. We make those clear on your website, Google profile and social channels, and keep your hours, services and booking options easy to find. We don’t run price comparisons against other pharmacies, which advertising rules for medicines and vaccination services restrict.

Yes. We plan seasonal promotion ahead, so your flu vaccination service is easy to find when people start searching: an updated service page, your Google Business Profile, local social content and, if it suits your budget, Google Ads. We advertise that the service is available and how to book, without naming specific vaccines, promoting one vaccine over another or using scare messaging. Any offers include their full terms and conditions, and we recommend your pharmacy confirms seasonal wording against current TGA guidance.

Not where they describe your health services, such as a vaccination or a consultation. Testimonials about regulated health services are prohibited in advertising, including on your own website and social pages. Reviews of products fall under separate therapeutic goods rules, so we don’t feature customer reviews in your marketing without checking them against those rules first. Reviews people post independently, for example on Google, are outside your control, but we can advise on replying in a way that protects privacy.

It depends on your location, competition and budget. Google Ads can send people to your website quickly, while local SEO builds gradually over months. We agree what to measure at the start, such as website enquiries, calls and clicks on your booking link, and report against it regularly. We don’t guarantee outcomes.

Your pharmacy does. We draft the copy, and your pharmacist or pharmacy owner reviews anything involving medicines or clinical information before it goes live, because advertisers are ultimately responsible for their own advertising.
